After the joy of visiting new places and revisiting some old favourites it is back to “my patch”. Yesterday dawned with bright sunshine so I drove down to the Lodge for an autumn walk and there was plenty of autumn colour to enjoy. The Lodge was incredibly busy and I only just managed to find a marginal parking spot. As you will see people were even visiting on horseback. There is a bridleway that runs through the reserve. There was a sunbathing ruddy darter that did not seem fussed about me taking its photo. The last photo gives an indication of how busy the car park was.
