It has been hectic in a good way over Christmas with plenty of happy snaps. It is always a great family time but an additional treat was a visit from Ewan, Kate and Heidi from Melbourne. Sadly Heidi was hoping to see snow but it was a little too warm. No real problem though. This is my first instalment with a visit to the excellent museum in Edinburgh with lots of fun for Heidi and Jack and we adults too including showing the youngsters skills in writing kanji characters. Sharp eyes will see Greyfriars Bobby in the outdoors image with his polished nose, thanks to the touchy feely tourists. It was then back for an early Christmas with more of the family. The children’s portrait shows Sammy, Rosie, Jack and Heidi and lots of presents had to be opened. It appears that Rosie is Kate’s biggest fan. :-) Then it was time for the obligatory family portrait. With Douglas, Rosie and Katie, Jim and Lizbeth, Anne, Kate, Lindsay, Ewan, me and in front, Sammy, Heidi and Jack. Amazingly there were close to smiles on all faces.
