What a fine day in London with the Melbourne branch of the family, Ewan, Kate and Heidi. After a false start at Hamleys, with an hour deal before public opening time, the day went very well despite a full overcast and occasional drizzle. We were wrapped up warm. Although we did not appear to go far my watch tells me we walked about 10km. It was lovely to see the Christmas lights as we wandered back north from our long lunch near the London Eye with Kate’s uncle, aunt and cousins. It is an advantage of the nights drawing in, maybe the only one, in that it gets dark long before a little one’s bed time. A pit stop in a busy pub had Heidi’s snooze interrupted and she managed to grab the camera for a photo of her mad uncle!
