BRIAN REID PHOTOGRAPHER

Winter Sunshine

It was nice to enjoy a walk with my photo buddy Paul at the Lodge with some winter sunshine. He was trying out a new lens and it seemed to work really well. The warm light at this time of the year makes it worth wrapping up against the cold. There is always a little wildlife about but more often heard rather than seen. The grey squirrels and robins are always within camera shot and it was nice to see a distant muntjac on the meadow in front of the house. I am always fascinated by shadows and the lamp in the garden entrance to the house was doing a good job. There are isolated patches of snowdrops in bloom. I’ll finish with what appears to be a water ‘fountain’ on a wall of the house. I guess the message is that wine is the devil’s drink but maybe I am over interpreting a simple work of art!
