The American Military Cemetery at Maddingley, on the edge of Cambridge, has some wonderful trees which look fabulous in autumn. Picking timing is important as there really needs to be a little sunshine. The weather forecast yesterday suggested sunshine in the early afternoon so I jumped in the car and took the short run over. The sun was breaking through as I left but when I got to Maddingley it was still socked in. I took a walk around snapping away as I went and within a half hour the sun popped out allowing me to take the photos you see here. As the cemetery is two minutes from the park and ride I rolled down for the bus run into the city as the light was perfect for a walk along the Backs. A dull start ended in a lovely autumn afternoon.
