Weather matters for some kinds of photos and if you want nice photos of flowers ideal conditions are blight overcast. Sunday morning was like that so I decided to head over to Anglesey Abbey. It did not go well. I got out onto the A428 and within a couple miles the traffic came to a halt. We crawled another mile in about 15 minutes until I could turn off to an alternative route. Problem number two then surfaced. The clouds disappeared! A quick change of plan and I changed destination to St Denys church in Little Barford. It had been a while since I was there and it is looking a bit derelict with the churchyard in very poor condition. There is a restoration plan but after 24 years it does not seem to have progressed much. The good news on the weather and traffic is that everything was fine for a visit to the Dahlia garden at Anglesey Abbey yesterday. Here are a selection of photos from Anglesey Abbey and a couple at the end from St Denys.
